A passion for bangles

A passion for bangles

I’d love for my next research, if there will be one at all, to be on bangles, bangle-makers, bangle styles, how they have changed historically, and how they change across South Asia. Bangles are an every day form of heritage that can easily be missed as they are omnipresent. But bangles in Kathmandu and bangles in Janakpur are different, and they are also different from bangles in India (if we want to use a very broad term). What remain the same is the passion and care that women put in choosing them.
